Self-care is about resilient coping. In this time of uncertainty keeping a routine can give us a sense of control, and regularity can help us and our families feel safe. It can also promote health and reduce stress.
Children thrive in routine. I would argue that most adults do too. With regular rest, food and exercise we can do amazing things.
I encourage you to consider your weekly routines as well. If you usually attend church on Sunday, perhaps listen to a service online. If you usually clean, tidy up. If you usually meet a friend, have a tea/coffee over a messenger video chat.
Help your family to do the same.
